Hi all,

I know it is really stupid question (yes, I'm a girl; no, not blonde but sometimes feel this way ;)) - I've read the manual but still not sure are there 'position lights' - like you use in dusk or rain? I'm talking here about the very dim front lights and nomal tail lights. So far I have found: dipped beams, normal beams, front fogs, rear fogs, day lights... Getting really confused as I just need something for this awfull weather but not too bright so to dazzle incoming drivers...(well, to some extent ;))

Help appreciated and try to be really gentle, I'm having a dumb day... :D

If you mean side lights, I believe the 500 has day running lights which are always on, you may be able to deactivate and get sidelights on the switch.

Best to ask a 500 owner I suppose lol I may be totally wrong...

But in any case dont use sidelights its pointless, if its murky enough to need lights sidelights are no good and normal headlights only dazzle busy bodies I find, just leave them on, I usually have mine on through habit, driving in countries where its law etc.

By the way I just looked at your car on our gallery, it looks really nice..

If I wasnt a bloke I would have one!

Thanks for help. I think the lights in question are called dim-dip, but I haven't found anything in the manual :( I don't think they are fitted...

Well dim-dip is what alot of early 90s ish cars have, when the ignition is off, you get what we call sidelights or 'parking' lights, then ignition on you get a light between sidelights and dip beam? Is that what you want on yours? Because I highly doubt these new cars have that facility!
