Hi

I have not posted here for a while. Recently I added a Panda 4x4 to my collection. I'd had enough of modern car complications and decided to regress into another era where things are much more simple.

First and foremost my Panda is great and I'm very happy that I own one again!
Its a 999 i.e with a simple LPG system. It costs 15quid to brim it.
The body in very good condition on top however it is a well used car. Although the top side is very tidy I have already rebuilt quite a bit underneath. All MOT'd now though so I can get uk plates.

The engine is tired and, even running on petrol,
it feels even more gutless than my old carb'd 4x4. Its does rattle when cold so
I have bought a 1.4 8v engine. I'm looking to build it up with a twin choke weber. I have read many threads but none seem to clarify much about the 1400cc FIRE. What inlet manifolds will fit the standard 1400cc head?

I prefer the 8v engines and to be honest this is my daily driver. I'm not looking for screaming performance.

I am more than capable of machining an adapter to fit the twin choke weber, its just getting a suitable manifold to adapt from, that fits the1.4 head.
I know the carb is a step back but its running on lpg most of the time so the carb is only really acting a throttle body. I can put up with the poor fuel consumption of a twin choke weber for the short time it will be running on petrol.

It will have an N/A carb to start with but if the mood takes me I may add a Y10 turbo carb with a very low pressure turbo later. A multipoint LPG system would be needed (the single point cannot be used with turbos).
