Say i had a spare £1,000 in my back pocket and i wanted to spend it on my car.

What would be the best things to do to increase the power? its a 1997 Bravo 1.6 sx.

Bearing in mind that im 18 with only (just coming up to) 1 years no claims so i think a HGT replacement is probably out of the question

Sell it,then go and buy a JTD and remap it to 130/140 without uppgradding anything else so you still have some pennys for the insurance.

Hmm good thought.... are the 1.6's not remappable?

Lets just say that you cant get more than 5-10hp more power from it without some big money.
Or anyone has a idea? I'd need some too.
