:O i just had new tyres fitted and i look the ova day and there was only 3 bolts on each wheel, should i go and get some bolts??

YES!
have you got the right size spigot rings in? if not it will cause bolts to wobble free.

I have a set of locking bolts for sale.

Scotty. £10 posted.

I sincerely hope you are just winding us up.

update had nuffing to 2 with the bolts.....the 4 wheels nuts snapped. wheel bearing or sumthing locked up so needing a new hub , gutted

whell whole 4 wheels studs had snapped, so havent a clue what happend, never heard of that happeing before but it happend :S what else cud have caused that ? unless the wheels stud where tightend in to much/to big ?

it is possible for wheels to come adrift if bearing fails...happened on my dads BMW about 15 years ago!

not saying this is this case here, but it has happened!

ok.. reason for them snapping will be.. you had then under so much strain, bending them, they just gave up!!

You had the shaft and head at different angles.... which is never a good idea!!

you always want the shaft and head in line!! ;) ;)

Tommy K - Have you got the Bottle!!

Tommy...

Are you suggesting that anything other than 4x98 PCD wheels is an accident waiting to happen, even with the correct wobbly bolts in place?

Tom

Scotty, are the wobbly locking nuts? If so, I'll have em. Can you email me please? :)
