Both sunroofs have leaked since I got my Multipla three years ago,the rear being by far the worst, the front just allowing enough water in to run across the visor and drip into my lap when starting off.
Being an engineer I acquired black duct tape to match the car colour and sealed the rear panel, mitred the corners and made sure there were no creases to make a proper job of it. To deal with the front leak a plastic bag on my lap for a minute or two served well enough. The tape needed replacing every few months or it leaked again

Recently I opened the front panel to allow the car to air out on a sunny day, before replacing the tape; the wretched thing went all of a dither when closing as it would close and part re-open. I tired of that game, pulled the fuse and found the key/screwdriver thingy that was in the bits and pieces compartment to close it manually. I noticed that when I turned the rear sunroof drive manually the panel moved forward a little and seemed to sit more flush in the opening.
The good news it the car has been leak free and dry since.
If you have a leak it may save you time and effort to use the manual closing method.
I really don't know why people like sunroofs, if you are tall it just allows the sun to shine in your eyes, mine stay shut all the time.
