Hi guys

I need to get a new lambda for the front of my downpipe. I have a 1242 conversion.

Do I need a punto sensor? I assume I probably do as its a punto downpipe but don't want to waste my time getting the wrong one!!!

Also, I have been looking and they seem to range anywhere between £25 and £75. Are the cheap ones okay?

Many thanks

Generally, all these 1V-lambda sensors are the same. The difference from expensive original one and Bosch for 25EUR is only the stecker. In the second case you have to take it from the old sensor or to buy separately.
And don't forget - there are 2,3 and 4-wire sensors. You should get the right one (probably 4-wire).

A cheap one (Bilstein-Febi I think it was) lasted only 20k kms, so I would say there is a difference. Not only it failed, it did so without grace whatsoever, an immediate replacement from day to day was necessary as the car started running like crap.
