lack of power on my fiat van

Hi Guys,

i was wondering if anyone can help with a problem im experiencing on my
doblo 1.9 jtd,

van travelling along nice and smoothly but suddenly went into limp mode,
engine running smooth but lack of power in each gear, after 5 mins of
driving suddenly cleared and back to normal running again, no lights showing up on dashboard.
this is about the fourth time of experiencing this issue over the last few weeks, anyone else out there have this or know of any fix would be great.

Try and clean out the egr valve. And check the connection on the battery they tend to get lose

Hi Bill, not only are the EGR Valves a royal pain, but the MAF Sensors have a tendency to be a sod.
Try unplugging the MAF, leave it for a week or so and see if there's a noticeable difference.
As I understand it, the ECU resets and essentially learns how to drive again. I did this with similar issues on my JTD and it seems to have resolved them.
