Okay guys I'm not posting a problem more a question about a solution.

Been getting a knocking noise when turning the steering. Now I assumed it would be the droplinks or ARB bushes or something like that, You know the usual.:)

Put it in garage today and whilst sitting freeking out at work expecting to be having to shell out for a new arb or something. They fix it F.O.C! :D

apparently the steering rack was fouling the gearbox rods!

Now I dunno what that means but it was the same garage that changed the gearbox and steering rack last year. although the problem has only been present a few weeks.

Anybody else had this problem?
Or can anbody explain what the problem was. I don't know what gearbox rods are :D?

Gearbox rods are the linkages from the gear stick which control the operation of the gearbox... They shouldn't be getting fouled by the steering! No wonder they did it FOC.

p.s. apparantly to replace the arb is a stinker of a job and requires the dropping of the whole engine and subframe
