Punto (Mk2/2b) knock and hunting idle

hi guys, just a question from a newbie, bought a 54 plate mk2 punto 1.2 8 valve for my daughter, i thought a very straightforward car but hear reports that spark plugs etc are an issue i.e make,model etc. its my daughter so want to make sure car is tip top, it has FSH, new cambelt ,new water pump, new discs & pads etc & a new clutch. but 1 or 2 issues, seems to hunt on tickover & a audible knock when steering is turned, im sure easy advice as a straightforward car, thank you
