General Km/h flashing signal

Hi guys, anyone knows what does it mean when a green km/h light flashes on the dashboard? It also beeps. It starts when I accelerate and stops when I slow down.

that is a high speed warning, which is only fitted in certain countries. the speed at which it begins can vary from 120km/h to 250km/h depending on the country.

if it is happening at low speeds on your car then there must be a fault. is your speedo working ok and showing the correct speed?

Yes, it starts beeping like about 20 kph, what's weird is that Ive gone over 150 kph and never beeped, I didnt even know it had that!!

Would you happen to know where is this sensor? , how to fix it?...I have an E-manual and its not there.

it uses the same sensor as the speedo, the speed sensor on the gearbox. if the speedo works ok then that sensor can not be the fault. that is why i asked if the speedo works.

if the speedo is working ok, then i can only assume it must be a fault inside the instrument panel. it thinks 20kph is the speed limit to trigger the alarm.

in dubai i had a car that made a loud beep above 120kph, and the faster you went the quicker the beep got. at 190kph it was like one long high pitched tone. i tried my best to find and destroy the siren but i never could find it.
