General Kingpin renewal

Having imported my little 500F last week the kingpins need renewing.

Is it an easy job or does it need a specialist?
Just the parts are cheap as but having them done cost a fortune!

Hi Caz;
Overhauling king-pins is not a difficult jub (done a fair number myself in my younger days), but you will need 1 particular tool---a long adjustable reamer and the use of a hydraulic press. I would suggest you get a specialist repairer or somebody who will do an exchange. Try Nathan at;- Fiat500classic.co.uk

Had to wait a few weeks and then send the old ones back, but worth every penny as I don't have the tools, the time or the expertise to repair them!

thats great thanks guys.

I have other things to do first as the engine was overheating badly. so new carb, and other bits. Having it done by Motobambino.

Then I will do brakes king pin and other stuff myself!:slayerhopefully)
