questions?
how man keys do you need? i have 1 red and 1 blue. my car wont start the code light wont come on to go off.. i phoned a local fiat garage and they said id really need two blue keys is this right? and re-program it, is this right?
any suggestions
in the past ive only ever used the blue key is this why? not that ive had the car long, since begining of jan. appart from that no faults other than the code light has flickered for the past two weeks when driving.

any help would be brilliant thanks

If you can get your security code card from Fiat you can then use the red key and the emergency start up code on the security card and get the car running without the need to wait for the code light to come on.

Theres a special way to bypass the code with the accelerator pedal in the event of an emergency start up. You just need the code card for it. The instructions to do the emergency start up should be in your Fiat Bravo manual. If not i could always scan mine for you.

It sounds like either a fues has blown or the codebox has a fault. Can't help you on that im afraid. However the only important key with your car is the red key. As long as you have the red you can always get new blue keys. Fiat sometimes talk bull regarding you need all three keys.

thanks joske

what you mean code card???

and could you do that with your manual (emergancy start up) for me please i have not got one, but will be investing soon.

Did you change/check the fuse i talked about in your last post? also check all the plug conections are nice and tight in that area.

I had the very same problem, and that fuse was the problem, and two mechanics missed it,and were talking about ECU KEY'S needing chiped and all sorts, when it was just a case of changing that fuse.

have not checked the fuse but will do (well scott can when he gets in), wierd or what just tried the car and it started, but affraid to take it anywere now case it happens again. was yours like that, like i said it would not, no matter how many tries, start the other day.
thanks lisa

Sounds like a bad connection or bad wiring. If it started the fuse is ok.

Not alway's Joske the fuse in qeustion in my exereience could work fine one time and just a little shugle and it wouldent, it wasent blown iether, just a bit manky around the plates and that was enough to cause the problem.

It can get manky under that cover if not cleaned regularly, and as said before lisa check that all the conecting sockets/plugs around that area are tight.

Cheers Scotty
