Hi all,
I have a 2.3 120 2007 Ducato that has developed a rather strange problem after changing the alternator.
Last week I noticed the idle revs were up at around 1100 and the battery light came on. Quick test with the multimeter and loan behold the alternator wasnt outputting. Yesterday I got round to changing the alternator.
When I got it fitted and fired her up, she fired up first time and stopped when I took the key out. So I proceded to fast on all the plastic trims/covers etc.
Since then I have some very strange issues. Sometimes the immobiliser light comes up on the dash and it wont start. Then when I do get it to start everything looks fine but I can take the key out, dashboard goes off but the engine still runs. Then I get three error codes:
U1706 - Unknown
P0111 - Intake temp sensor 1
P0101 - Mass or Volume air flow A
I have started to look at the wiring looms at the areas that I've possibly disturbed but I cannot see anything wrong.
Has anyone get any ideas of what the fault might be?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Steve
