is it possible to deactivate the imobliser. iv had problems where it imoblises the car while on the move or when the key is in the mar position for a few minutes. iv used my other blue key with the same result. a diaganostic showed "intermittent contact". its a 98 1.4 by the way

search the forum and you find a few posts about it. with mine i deactivated it by entering a code i had on a card in my manual. basically you insert the key and turn it a few times in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction according to the card and it will de-immobilise

it would be no harm to check the wiring at the immobiliser box (under the dash on drivers side, follow the cable from the receiver ring around the ignition) and on the ECU itself, in case there actually are dodgy connections. If you want to disable the immo altogether, ask the boys at a helpful fiat dealership, or you could send the ECU to that codeman guy www.codeman.org .
