Is not having the key code card a really bad thing, i have the red key, or is there anyway of finding out my code

UK spec cars have the Keycode card removed, but if you contact fiat they'll give you and numbers you need aslong as u have proof of ownership.

So no point to the Keycode, the red key however is important, so dont loose it.

while you are on the subject of code card. i dont have mine so i dont know the number for my radio. would fiat just give this to me for free bcos i need a new battery so the code will be required for the radio to work again when the battery is fitted wont it?

YOU'VE GOT TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL FRANCHISE, WHO'LL CHARGE YOU £12 FOR GETTING IT OFF TEH NATIONAL SECURITY REGISTER!
IF THEY HAVEN'T GOT A RECORD OF IT, YOU'VE WASTED £12 SO YOU MAY AS WELL JUST GET A DECODE FOR £15 OR SO!

I got mine on an original card credit size, pre-printed although only paper.
I ain't stickin up for Fiat, they ave done me over in the past BUT u r wrong.

Fiat got my radio code in 24 hours for £15.

Just goes to show. My last car was a Citroen ZX and I got a top of the range factory fitted Blaupunkt from a scrappy (no code.) I wrote down the reg. and chassis numbers of the car it came out of and when I got home I rang the local Citroen agents who are strangers to me. He asked me for the details and my phone no. and said he would ring back in a half hour. Ten mins. later, the phone rang. It was him with the radio code. I asked if there was a charge, he said no because all he did was tap into the computer. He had rung me back just to confirm my telephone no.
What a difference to Fiat!!!!!

where do you live?
there is a place in newcastle that will remove the codes to your stereo, think it's less than the cost of getting the code thingy.
it's legal too.
they check they aren't stolen.they did my dads over night,

I went to Fiat to get my radio code. They phoned up Grundig with the serial number and got the code faxed back within 24 hours. No charge. Yes, it was a Fiat dealer, and it was out of warranty. Looks like it depends on your Fiat dealer, and if you've done anything to upset them in the past!
