I used to race karts nationwide and am ex under-18 national champion.

There are a few tracks about that are very very good. I noticed that a few of you were talkin about a day out on the track.

I will have a look at home and find some numbers for some tracks!

My fave is whilton mill near towcester, its quite expensive though!

I also used to work at daytona in milton keynes but this is £60 for 60 min.

Up north there is a track called Rowrah and i could probably rent it for a day for £800 through my contacts! But that is in Cumbria!

Down south in kent we have beaford meadows - a very technical track with lots of close racing! And also not so far away is Buckmoore park which is class!!!!!!!
But expensive.

Hearfordshire is Rye house (cheep) but fun!

So you see we have a choice - let me no what area of the country we are looking at and i will tell you the good tracks - see you there!

Ps: i may bring my own kart to kill you all in! LOL

ill be on Kev's team!
I have raced Carl Breeze in carts before, but I didn't trouble him too much :)

Karting

I'll be up for it. Used to run in 100c and won a few champs, went up to Super 1, but ran out of funds - now I run in the stock hatch champs.

I know the owner of Lakeside Karting - only about 20 mins the other side of the water from Buckmore - I'm sure I could sort a good deal on a race meeting there.

Check out the site http://www.go-karting.info I gotta upload the new arial photo which I'll probably put on the front page or in the gallery, but check it out, its a top track.

Twin 4-strokers and thunders are a bit slow for Buckmore or most tracks, but pretty well suited to this track.

Re: Karting

Never raced pro but do it quite often up here north, Theres a indoors track in Blackburn only small but good fun if you intend to be getting legless straight after as it is located 5 minutes from town and 5 mins from train station and for 15-20 people will cost about £250 for 3 races of 6 laps, whole day lasts a about 4-5 hours, Also been to Aintree (3 Sisters Wigan) 3 times on a larger track and i love it, Also one located close to BUry in Radcliffe also indoor but i aint ever been there, May not be the best but as long as i have a laugh i dont care if i come 1st 2nd last or not finish at all!!
Well up for a day of that

Re: Re: Karting

Karting

How about a team endurance? teams sizes depend on race length, but that way we can try and get a fair mix of drivers so each team has a chance to do well.
