K&N Panel Filter

Will a K&N panel filter give the same sound as the open cone filters? I took mine off because I was using too much fuel, but I want to put it back on every now and again for the sound

It's a bit of a nightmare to fit though as the piping is meant for the 1.6's and above, so was wondering if a panel filter would give the same effect, as they are easier to fit.

Hope you tell your insurance company each time you fit the cone air filter. Dont fancy running into you when your not insured.

The answer to your question is that theres no change in the note of the engine from a panel filter as its enclosed, like the paper air filter is.

keep the cone on mate lol there isnt no difference between the 2 filters apart from the noise wich sounds great lol

yeah, i only took it off to see how many miles i could get out of a tank by driving like a granny
