Hi folks,

Just bought my girlfriend a 99 Sei Sporting for a little 6month anni(sort of)versary present and loved it so much that Sunday just gone I bought one for myself.

So she has an 99 SPI Sporting and I've got a 51 plate MPI sporting (that will prob end it's life as a Blitz KR3 buggy by 2010. Both cars together cost less than £1200 and I am very pleased with both the performance and (especially) the economy!!!

I also have a Hilux pickup that get's plenty of abuse offroad and an Rx7 that is now being sold as a project for someone who can fund the fuel bill (I certainly can't lol)

I don't have as large a presence on forums as I used too but I'm sure I'll pop up here and there with tips and questions.

Look forward to chatting with you good people(y)

Post some pics.

Sounds like you got an alright deal there, both cars for £1200.(y)

Thing is you got the car at 6months anniversey, you have to top that for the 12 month one....

:D Tell me about it, with christmas and her Bday before them - I've kinda stitched myself up a bit!!!

Here's her 99 Sporting £671:

My 01 Sporting £500:

I think the clutch on her's is in need of a change, it's already spat the adjuster nut off the threaded bar on the cable and it's now very stiff and lumpy when you put your foot on it - I've also learned from this forum that the fuel tank is due a recall as the VIN falls in the numbers on the AA website, as well as the brake hardline recall so I'll be getting them done by the dealer (saves me time and money(y))

My 01 needs a head gasket so you can add £70 on to the 500 for the headset, skim and a timing belt, but you've got to agree that for a car about to hit 40k miles, £500 is an absolute bargain, especially seeing as the car drives very well and is in pretty good nick (few scratches, nothing I can't fix though!)

Yeah, wait till the Italian starts to show through and I'm fixing things every weekend:bang:

Had my litte 1993 cinq for over a year now, Picy of Brum

And MOT ran out monday an i only had to spend £90, Iv been runing this car even now after i lost my job 6mounths ago, so cheap and easy to fix spent £500 buying it with 12mounths MOT an Tax(also 4 brand new tyres) and il only had bolbs and standerd service stuff so far (y)

[Gear box is abit dodgy in 3rd but i was told it will go on for years]

Edit: Both your cars look very clean very much like the red one ;) Mayb that be this years target
