just getting back into the 2300

[2300S]

Hi guys,

bought my 2300S back in '80 from a dealership in Sydney, Australia and did a ground up rest of her in '85, moved to Qld in 94 and bought a Ferrari which put the old girl on the backburner.

Finished sorting the Ferrari and have just got back to the old girl and found her wanting in the wiper department and the water temp was getting high so posted about these issues in the other section of the forum.

I've been waiting to have the time and for a forum relating to Fiats before getting back in and trying to sort her out.

I've had 124, 124sport AC and BC before the 2300S so know most of the pitfalls of fiats (none in my book )

found the 124 to be one of the best balanced cars if a little underpowered, 124sports are brilliant cars even by todays standards and will be my boys first car (he of course wants the Ferrari but we must all walk before we fall )

I take the 2300 to a few Ferrari outings and she always gets more attention than the 308QV or 308GT4 I have but then that is understandable as this car is so rare in these parts

it ain't easy trust me, I am having a devil of a time trying to keep her cool which was never a problem before.:bang:

cooling system flush should do the trick. also check the state of the radiator on the inside. and maybe the radiator needs replaced.


i used to live in hells kitchen and keeping cars running cool was a bloody task and a half. so i feel your pain.

maybe you should also invest in an electric fan, those things do wonders.
