Don't laugh I have just bought a 2000 Ulysse !

Didn't cost a lot, but then we only wanted a van for carrying pallets which we cut up for our log fire, and then, there it was looking all lonely on a garage forecourt.

Now, eight seats, loads of room, big diesel engine chugging quietly away and, I hope, a few years of service to go.

Previous owners hadn't been to kind so there are a few problems being spotted now. Perhaps somebody can help by putting me onto a Fiat specialist for spares, or a quick fix if its a known problem.

Noticed so far.
Petrol gauge not working. When you switch on you get the low fuel light which then goes out, but the needle isn't moving.

Drivers door lock just turns round and round, passenger side ok and locks all doors.

Looking for a gear lever gaitor to tidy things up.

Apart from ebay are there any recommended breakers who deal with Fiats.

Oh, I know I was told the Peugeot 809 and Seat Synergie have many spare parts compatible with the Fiat. Does that go back as far as the year 2000 and , briefly, what might they be.

Lengthy first go, but willing to learn :)

All parts from 95 onwards are interchangeable. Gaitor - ebay!
Door lock, mine does the same just learn to live with it!
I found my local fiat dealer less than useful and twice as expensive, breakers are your best option.

Thanks for that, already ordered a gaitor from ebay.

Spent a bit of time with it today, after it started earning its keep carting logs, got the seats out, and starting the tlc is requires just to bring it back a bit.

Amazing amount of room in there once you remove said seats, just over 6 ft long and plenty big enough overall to be pretty well ok.

We took it for a run last night and it was cruising at 70 mph. The only thing was a whining noise with it which went up and down as you put your foot down or lifted it up. Not a nuisance, just something new. Perhaps its because its a bit more commercial based than we are used to.

Very pleased so far !

Think you'll find that's a turbo whistle. The airpipes to the airbox have factory holes in so can make a whistle.
I moved house over the weekend, just used the ulysse. No need for anything else!
