jumping cd changer.

i am shortly going to buy myself a cd changer, i've read the guide and it says to get a grundig or a sony, but from reading some of the statements on this forum it sounds as if the grundig 1 jumps when you go over bumps, does it?
does the sony 1 not do it?

Don't know about the Sony but i have a Grundig changer under my rear seat and it has never jumper once since i bought it.

I've got a Sony 10 disc and it has never jumped, not even when it was loose on the floor of my Punto when I crashed it into a barrier at about 60mph. The Sony changer has cartridge suspension, i.e. the cartridge that your disc holder goes into is mounted on springs to avoid skipping.

Don't know about any others mate.

panasonic have the same 'suspension' system. You have to make sure you set them for the orientation of the changer else it goes horribly wrong! lol

I've got the Grundig in my boot, never jumped or skipped.

Had both grundig mcd-36 and t-69 at one point (in different cars obviously). The grundig was mounted vetically and the t-69 horizontally. The grundig dig jump occasionally the sony never did.
