Technical JTD Valve clearances

Does anyone know what the valve clearances are for the JTD 115bhp?

Clearence in closed position
Exhaust 0.3 to 0.4mm
Intake 0.25 to 0.35

do we need to adjust this?

Yes we do need to adjust these. They are not hydraulic but adjustable, and they are included in the service schedule to be checked and adjusted if required.

What is the valve arrangement starting from the left cylinder (drivers side)? i.e. <in ex, ex in, in ex, ex in,> ??????????????

Where & how do you adjust them when you have the rocer cover off?

Hi there. the tappets are adjusted by measuring the gap under the lobe [pointing up], remove the shimm plate and fitting a thicker or thinner tappet shimm as required.special tool needed to hold bucket down while removing the shimm.........MP
