up in soham last night whilst visiting our son we had just left the m11 from great dunmow a trip that we did some high speeds upon entering soham we went over a few speed bumps before my brakes just went completly right on a speed bump luckily i had slowed down we only just stoped from hitting the car in front which was my bro in law btw!

so we crawled to my sons house stopped via hand brake went inside then called recovery who took us home to s.wales car duly unloaded driver thanked full tank full of diesel cos we had a lift back lol.

anyway when i went to move our car onto our drive our brakes were working again?? i'm scared to drive it btw till i get it checked tomoz .any ideas what that could ? the fluid was full i checked that no brake pad grinding etc whats your take on it?

hi m8 i was thinking that myself tbh yes we had been using the brakes but not over the top like just the norm i've had brake fade b4 but never as bad as this and never in my jtd only in my old saab 900 turbo..i'll still need it checked out i'll keep you informed on the outcome andy..

Pedal to the floor, normal pedal or stuck pedal?
Only time Ive had "no brakes" were rear pads rusted shut to the carriers, not much movement on the brake pedal as only fronts were free.
And after changing pads forgot to press the pedal a few times so pads locate themselves :p
Fluid level all good?
ABS? Hate that thing on loose/soft surface.

WELL JUST GOT THE CAR BACK we were very lucky lads 1 pad had cracked in half it took the disc to pieces nearly remember i had no prior warning of pad wear! the garage guy said he'd never seen this happen b4! so new discs n pads plus fitting £109 squid job done thank god...
