jailbreak iphone 3g

i want to jailbreak my iphone 3g but i keep getting confused with all the technical lingo on all the sites
i have realised that ineed to uninstall the 4.1 firmware and re installthe 4.0.1 firmware but i have no idea how to do so
i tried to follow a few guides on the web but to no luck:bang:

please help me

(EDIT: should also state, that I am not endorsing illegal stuff that you could do after jailbreaking...jail breaking itself is not illegal )

Over rated. I jailbroke the first iPhone for several people, the novelty wears off when you make the iPhone look daft with all the silly background and editing wording.

I would leave it as it is.

Although wasnt there a one touch over the web jailbreak thing released a while ago?
