Right I recently had a thread on here about gearbox removal as I had to change the clutch on my 2000 2.8id , with that sorted i got on a boat last night as i live on the Isle Of Wight and take it for a shake down before my trip to France in 2 weeks . Went up the A3 from portsmouth all fine at 70mph , turned off onto some country roads cruising at 40mph and then a loud bang and rumbling . stopped the van to find the engine side mount had snapped all 3 bolts :bang:. Now I have not had to touch this mount for the work I have done and the engine was fully supported during the work I carried out .About 6 weeks ago I paid the local Iveco dealer to do the Cambelt which i'm lead to believe by the 3 recovery guys i spent time with has to be removed for this operation .Its clear they used the same 15 year old bolts when they re assembled should these have been replaced ? they also broke the cambelt cover when they did the job (which I had to pay for ) and we also noticed the plastic lower gaurd that hangs underneath was only held on with the front and middle bolt as the back one was snapped off as well .I feel better I have got that of my chest Any thoughts welcome

i'm just waiting for them to call me once they have been round my house and checked it as i had to go to work at 7 this morning with only 4hrs sleep  none of the other work has required me to touch that side of the van and I suspect as the clutch was slipping the extra torque was not being converted to the engine so the issue did not show up sooner . At least its gone now rather than in France in 10 days time

well the garage never phoned me , when i phoned them they told me the had recovered it back to there garage , spoke to them today and they are working on it . As neither of us has mentioned money I would like to assume they are doing the honorable thing and just getting it done . worst case its a new O/S driveshaft and a new water pump if they cannot get the bolts out of the old one

well apparently they now cant get the 3 bolts that go from the engine mount to the water pump :bang:

I can find them M10 x 1.25 x 120 . But it seems beyond this place and the scary thing is they are an Iveco dealership but did not realise it was an Iveco Engine . Just hopw its ready for my trip to France

Just a quick update to say it's all sorted and after having to deal with operation stack last night and a 9 1/2 hour drive today I'm sitting comfortably in France drink an ice cold cider
