Recently i noticed thatmy tjet 150 cant stand parked uphill only by 1st gear holding it. Even at the slight easy uphill without handbrake it slowly moves. I asked a mechanik and told me somerhing about compression ratio.. It also warms up significally faster than before. It is at 130000km and no oil consumption so far. Not any change to mpg. I dont push it hard. I generally drive gently.
First run in period was at 1/4 of throttle and at max 3k revs. After 4000km i hit top speed have i damaged it?
Is it going to fail??

Try checking if there is any cracks in the head gasket. See if there any bubbles in the expansion vase when the engine is running or if the engine first start in the morning is irregular.
If so and even if there is no oil burning you have a big headache.

Thank you for the reply.. No cracks, no bubles.. At -4C starts with a turn more from the ignition and then idles perfectly normal.. I dont think its a head gasket..

I can't see where is the problem or how on earth rolling with 1st gear PARKED can relate to any engine problem.

Classic Greek mechanic problem allow me to say φίλε μου.

Always pull the handbreak on a hill. This is not like an automatic gearbox with a stop tooth gear. It's normal to roll slowly and this has nothing to do with compression.

Engage first gear when car facing uphill or reverse facing downhill and the handbrake all the way up.

Stop worrying and change garage.

Well, as mentioned above, you really shouldn't let the car sit in gear without the parking brake on, but it never hurts to get a compression check done on all 4 cilinders and report the results here.

The reason I asked about the timing belt is because you mention it heats up faster.

Has the waterpump been replaced and/or the coolant flushed?
A faulty waterpump could be at cause, wrong type of coolant...

Has the thermostat been replaced? Could be something wrong there, OR the thermostat was originally not closing properly and replacing it caused the engine to heat up properly now instead of too slow?

If the waterpump has been changed with the belt job, the right coolant is in the system, and it doesn't overheat without the radiator fan running constantly... I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thank you for replying.
I have not changed-added anything in the coolant cirquit. I havent added water or flushed. The coolant level didnt reduce since i got the caril from a. The only other symptom I got was yogurt substance above the oil cap but after changed oral to eneos sustina disappeared 2 years ago at 90k.

I guess auto-correct messed up your comment a bit?

Anyways, mayo on the oil cap can be from some condensation in the oil, if this only happened once and the car doesn't drink coolant, that's nothing to be worried about.

What I meant to ask was: did the waterpump get changed and the coolant system get flushed when the timing belt was replaced?

Old or wrong coolant can cause heat issues.
Insufficient flow because of a worn out waterpump too.
It is not abnormal to start noticing this quite some time after the wrong coolant has been put in.
Coolants are colour coded, so if the coolant Fiat recommends is a different colour to what you see in the expansion bottle, that's a problem.

If the coolant is the right colour and isn't (partially) as old as the car, the oil mayo stays away, the car doesn't overheat without the radiator fan blasting all the time... I wouldn't worry too much.

Do get a compression test on all 4 cilinders done and report the results to make sure.

Don't worry, just run it until you get more serious problems.

What you describe, does sound as low compression.. but long as it still starts and apparently has most of it's power i wouldn't worry.

So i did my 17000 km interva oil change last week and changed the botom engine part that holds the sump plug.
Findings:
-The engine inside was a little black after 130k km
- A little yogurt substance under the oil cap. I think this is becasuse I did a lot of sort distances <3minutes in winter.
- No oil consuption at all
- Did compression test and everything was fine.

So I think I wont bother any more. It is at 130k km and I think it has at least 100k more.
Thank you all dor your replies..
