Is a Mk2 8V 1.2 Punto supposed to have central locking please?

Hi,

I recently bought a year 2000 punto and was wondering please whether this model is supposed to have central locking? I have tried researching but don't seem to be getting anywhere?

I think so. But I've no way of checking.

Maybe the easiest place to see is in the hatch. The c/l solenoid is usually a white nylon cylinder about 1" round, 3" long.

if its a base model mia then you might not.

Maybe a bit late to reply but my first car was a 2000 model Mk 2 8v and it didn't have central locking. It was a base model but quite a few had the alloys so looked like they were a bit higher up in the range from the outside.

All mk2 puntos have central locking if yours didn't then it simply didn't work
