i have the standard 98 fiat bravo stereo and like to use my ipod in the car. But the cassette adapters are starting to do my head in so i want to use it directly with a AUX port.

What would be the cheapest compatible stereo for the bravo that has an aux port? either new or second hand.

Any that has a 3,5 mm stereo jack in, or a rear chinch in port.

Any :)
A fascia adaptor can be bought so that a standard single din aftermarket stereo can fit in the existing slot.

thanks!

do you know any that fit, to save the hassle of getting a fascia adapter?

You wont find another that fits directly unless its a standard Bravo stereo.
Fascias are only around £10 and look like so..

(mine was sprayed to fit in with rest of dash)

that dashboard looks good. the right balance of silver.too much silver, and it would start to look chavy.you would expect a chav in a corsa/saxo to spray the whole dashboard, seats, doors silver, but for us classy Italian car owners, we know whats classy and whats chavy!

you could always use an FM transmitter ( ebay for around £5 or less inc del). one end pugs in fag socket, other in ipod.

best off with a facia adapter and a mp3 head unit.

Get a Bluetooth equipped head unit and buy a small Bluetooth transmitter for your iPod and you have a much better quality option than the FM transmitter.

Car Audio Centre are currently selling the Sony MEX BT2600 with free iPod adpater and Bluetooth transmitter for £99.99 !!
