Just come back from a week's holiday on the Isle Of White and i have to say that i have never seen so many Multipla's on the road. I stopped counting at 16 and it was a fairly even mix of bugs & nosejobs all with roof bars & boxes.

How sad am i? Good holiday btw.:)

I truly believe the uglybug is a classic, with a small 'c' now. We had ten Multis at least at any one time at ASSOAP this year and the view of the rear of ten in a convoy is just special! Hilarious actually!

We had two towing caravans, three towing trailer tents and five loaded to the gunnels with ordinary tents and camping equipment. Two with roof boxes and three with six up I think.

If they were a little bit longer and could have been made into a proper camper, I think we'd have been looking at a modern equivalent of the VW camper. The Multi was absolutely crying out for a long wheelbase version.

Still a classic in my book. The 02 plastic bumpered diesel 115 elx (can you get an 03 of these in plastic bumpers?) is the one to have. True to the original design but with some upgrades. (y)

They would be a classic if they could last long enough! Doubt if they will though... :D

to be fair i have never heard of one needing welded and the soft tuned engine should be good for 200k.

agree....just another 6 to 10 inches would of been fine:rolleyes, hence why i went down the doblo route.
