Introducing a Panda from Gozo

Bought new by my mum in 88-89 ish in Gozo off Malta. Now in my garage in west London. Its a white one with black sun roofs. Any advice on the fuel pump not pumping, much appreciated (sealed unit on FIRE engine)

Hi Dave, thanks for the quick response. I think its a standard FIRE 1000cc engine. I'm guessing this by the Haynes manual pictures. Also, I used to drive it round Gozo loads and it was never that quick! Cam turns the petrol pump lever, but the sealed pump wont pump. Is it a block in the tank?

i'm not sure i was going to suggest checking the rod from cam to pump but you have already done that, ive asked the mods to move this thread to the classic panda section, should get loads more help in there

Do you know how to find Panda fans local to your post code through the forum? I am going to need some help getting this car on the road and was hoping I might be able to find an enthusiast who is local to me. Being new to the forum I cant immediately see how to do this. For example, my Panda appears to be rust free but I dont really know where I should be looking for it and how to stop it rusting?
