Hi all please can some one help me before i get even more stressed and take a hammer to my multipla to improve its looks lol:bang::bang::bang::bang:
I have a mulitpla jtd 105 elx 1910cc 1999 i bought this car (private sale) 2 wks ago as temp car to get from a - b as my synergie went bang, done all the checks on the car when purchased every thing seemed fine, later that day went to take the wife and kids for a spin the car woudnt start, a yellow key and code light comes on on the dash after about a hour of trying i give up.
I decided to try get my money back from previous owners but he wasnt having any of it avoided me like the plague and put his wife on the phone
thats me peed off to the max cus ive been sold a red herring.
next day go back to the car 2 turns the car starts heres me thinking just must of been the cold or something, off i go but the car seems really sluggish just about got up the hill in 2nd when i wud normally get up it in 5th, im thinking turbo on its way out or a blockage some where.
later on return to the car wont start same again code light on dash, keep trying for over a hour no joy so decide to leave the car and go home.
rang a auto electrician the next day and he said engine managment system fault the key or car has lost its codes im thinking that dont sound right so later that day start looking through the stack of paper work from previous owners and find a receipt for a new key barrel and coding for 2 mths ago tell auto electrician this and he said bring it in will have a look.
after 2 days off leaving it with him he did a diognostics couldnt find a fault, he said he wiped all the cars codes and recoded it all back up with both keys and the cars firing up but he said it will happen again because theres a fault some where.
take the car away it fired up all day no probs then later that day surprise surprise it does it again wont start.
i also noticed the car was slugish as well and the red injector light was on before it died on me again.
after me and a friend having been scratching our heads thinking what can it be except for a dodgy wire or a dodgy ESU we looked on here and found it might be a red immobiliser relay thats the problem.
if any 1 knows about this can any of you please shed any light on the situation before i start paying out more money to the garage again.
please help in any way as things are getting pretty desperate now as im stranded in my village and i dont think i can take any more of the wifes winging lol
