I love this sort of thing, can't wait to nerd up and read through it :D

I did think some of you would've been interested in reading into some technical details of the car. I'm still not even halfway trough it though :D. I wonder where they get this kind of information?

@Matthewr1990 Coincidentally I came across this article while I was looking for a picture of the T-jet engine as well :D

Apparently though the bravo has had a significant part of its development done using modeling and simulations rather than real life testing. I wonder if they kept that trend with other later cars.

Nice ferrytale.
If they would done like said in that story, Bravo would be most perfect car in the world. Then you have almot broken driving shafts , broken plastic linkeage in ventilation system so labour is 20 times expencier than parts, decaying gearboxes, too noisy engines in cockpit especialy for small pertol engines, etc etc
Al that shouldnt happened in only few years

Well I admit some parts are just waxing lyrical, like the part where they say the 1.4 90hp engine provides "sparkly performance", but I'm more interested in the technical details provided about the car's development, regardless of how good they say it is.

About the engines though, the problem you say is about sound proofing the cockpit rather than the engine being noisy. The petrol engines on the bravo, with the hood open, produce just as much noise as any engine similar in displacement. But, you can't say fiat don't know how to make good engines as all their turbocharged engines are actually brilliant.

Khaled25, I absolutlly agree with you about engines. Fiat petrol engines up to 1600ccm have been for decades very robust and durable.
Also 1.4 turbo engine history in Fiat is almost 20 years long

Yeah, that sounds about right:
Uno Turbo 1985-1993: 1.3/1.4 turbo.
Punto GT 1993-1999: 1.4 turbo.
Bravo/Grande Punto - 2007-now: 1.4 turbo.
