Hello everyone.-

It`s great that I finally found a place where people seems to know a lot, I`ve just bought a brand new grande punto t-jet, and started with some modifications, I bought it a splitter valve which gives arround 20hp, and replace the OEM air filter for one of the K&N, sounds great by the way, but my question is, I want to replace the OEM intercooler for a bigger one, but my concern it`s how many hp will this be increase the power in my t-jet, if someone has make this modification already, I`ll appreciate your advise.

No they dont. You would need a map to get the best out of it and a proper induction kit and a better exhaust to see any proper gains. Go to the GP section and search the Tjet threads.

Thanks for your quick reply, if I replace the complete exhaust system, will this affect the computer, I mean I don`t want any lights from the dashboard to turn on you know, I haven`t completly paid the car and the dealer might tell me that I can void the warranty if I start replacing OEM parts.
Can you please tell me in what country are you located?
I`m from Mexico!!!

England. Replacing the exhaust from the manifold back wont effect any sensors as you put the new exhaust in after that the only part of the warrenty it will void is the exhaust warrenty.

great!!! so, replacing the exhaust will definitely increase power in my t-jet correct? just to confirm, replacing the complete exhaust won`t turn any alerts from dashboard right?

Since I don`t want to void the engine warranty I think that would be all I can replace to increase some hp, thanks a lot for your advices!!

Well without remapping i dont know how obvious the increase would be. As long as you leave the manifold and standard catalytic converter in place then you will be fine.
