Hi all,

Just wondering how many people would be interested in a intercooler kit for the GP 1.4 T-Jet and 1.9 MJet??

As I am about to embark on to investigate a possible alternative option for intercooler. It will be on the cheaper scale around £200-250 mark as ball park figure. All depending on how much it cost for development/design and how much the parts involved will cost.

love how you have had the car a day and going on to this.

silly question but what do the abarths run on the t-jets? and what about that new 500 with 260bhp they MUST have a intercooler. even the abarth? whats wrong with theirs?

im sure your thinking fmic though :p

Yep FMIC all the way, I just happened to came across an intercooler which is a decent size and not over the top. Thats why I just want to find out how many people could be interested. As from the outlook I can get these intercooler all the time. The idea is to develop as a kit including pipe work to go with it but at cheaper cost.

Of course to get a better flow and efficient intercooler to drop charge temp, i.e. potential more power and power making capability.. but also (particular to petrol) when you up boost, temp raises... and without the sufficient cooling could be to premature ignition (knocking)... This is the main reason other than looking good with a FMIC...

Oh... HKS sounds JDM to me hahahah :D

Also for reference comparing to the Arbath grande punto intercooler is same size as the 1.9 GP MJET intercooler.
