Hi,
my father recently bought the Ulysse (secondhand) and he got the instructions in French. Does anybody have them in English or German? Where could I get them? I tried the forum in Slovenia and the official Fiat site but I couldn't find them.

I also have a problem with my auto-phone, the moment I start the car appears "Emergency and breakdown calls deactivated" and it won't disappear until I press ESC. Does anybody have the same problem - how can you fix this?
It really wouldn't bother me, if the phone won't work, I just don't want to press escape everytime I start the car.

Thanks,
Matevz

Hi,

Not sure where you can get english instructions, but I would assume that a dealer could order you some. They can be ordered as a spare part and do have a part number.

As for the message you get, this is because the telematics haven't been activated. This is a subscription service run by Fiat and once activated allows you to press the green button which will send your location and vehicle details to a special call centre. This is done via SMS when you have a SIM card installed. They can then give you a range of information, ie closest restaurant etc etc. This service is free for 1 year in the UK when you first buy the car.

You can have the "emergency and breakdown calls deactivated" message switched off by a dealer using the diagnostic computer. This does not affect the phone though, so if you put a SIM card in it will continue to work.

Have a look at www.eurovan2.com as they have a huge amount of information on the Ulysse and I think they have the english instructions for the RT3 unit (that's what the stereo/nav system/phone is called)

Good luck.

Andy
