hi,
well like the title sez yes am going to try it never installed one, but am pretty sure wat to do, i have been readin up on it on this site and on fiat forum i no u need to run the rem cable down the oppisite side from the phono and power cable(i think  ) so if you have any tips on installin an amp and sub please let me no, wish me luck.mick

P.S if am not on the site in a wee while then i have blue myself up :(

A piece if **** to do!

Hardets part is getting the power cable through the bulkhead in the engine bay! But once that is done its no bother at all!

Yeah there should already be a hole, but getting the cable through can be a pain in the ass.

But as PS said, when you get that cable in, it's a piece of ****.

Ideally the phono leads should go down one side and the power and rem cable should go down the other. This will stop a humming coming through the sub when turned on.

There are plenty of how to's online for this sort of thing but it's best just to have a bash cause each car is different.

I installed a amp on the 206 a month ago and it was a pig cause the bulkhead hole was behind the fuse box and there was only enough room for a wee hand to get in...... Damn french cars!

One thing to point out is that the hole in the bulkhead of a Mk1 Punto, or at least in the sporting is behind the firewall and is filled by a rubber grommet.

Just make a hole in the grommet with a screw driver or something and then force the cable through it. It really is the hardest part of the job! Everything else is moveable, like rear seats, coping at the bottom of the doors, etc!

well thanks for that and thanks voodoo about wat side the cable should go down am going to do it on sunday if i do it rite al get some pics up once again thanks to everybody.mick

No probs! But it really is easy to do! Personally I would put the Remote wire down the same side as the power cable, as it does have a current going through it, although its minimal! keeps any intereference away from the phono cables!

I just actually swapped my Pyramid amp over last night for a Kenwood one! Going from 600W to 800W...my car shakes again! :)

Also got a new Pioneer sub to go in replacing the Kenwood one, but on hooking it up no sounds was coming out. I took it out its box to find that the connecting wires inside had been connected with...ELECTRICAL TAPE...and one had came off its terminal!

So my job tonight is to sort that! :(

it a splx amp 500 watts and a splx sub i like the amp i had one in my old punto which you can see if you go to fiat forum its under punto55 and pic of my old punto the sub am not to sure about.

thats great thanks, i got told it depends on how many watts the amp is then you just get the kit to cover that or more does that sound rite.

well am not getting the splx sub and amp instead am get the fli active sub 1000 watts which a thing will be a lot better than the splx.mick
