Inlet Manfold Removal with Cylinder Head ??

I am currently in the process of changing the cylinder head gasket on a 1.4 Bravo, following the instructions in the Haynes manual. I have noticed however there is possibly a shortcut to these instructions, to save disconnecting all of the various cables and pipes (fuel) to the throttle body, it seems easier to unbolt the inlet manifold from the head itself, the bolts seem to be in easy reach and there doesn't seem to be any hidden bolts under the manifild itself. Therefore I could leave the inlet manifold in place when removing the head.
Has anybody got any comments on this ?

If you can reach all of the bolts and get all of the wiring out of the way, I dont see why not. That way the inlet manifold stays in the engine bay and you get a clean head.
But there may be other opinions.

I'm sure you can do that: Don't always believe what Haynes tell you.

if there is enough them then that is what i would do! makes it slightly easier.
