hi again my car started to run rough yesterday i have a 1.6 multi petrol soi changed plugs and put some injector cleaner in now the injector light is on and car runs rough have had injectors out in my hand blown through them and put them back in for all of 1 min the light was gone then it comes bk on does any one have any sort of ideas as this is my 2nd multi to have this problem and i dont really wanna have to sell this one because of something silly like this anyhelp appreciated thanks in advance

I have a diesel Multipla now, but when I had a petrol Multi, I had a problem with the injector light coming on, and rough performance.
I took the injectors out, left them connected to the fuel rail, and turned the engine over.
You can see the petrol squirting out of the working injectors.
In my case, one of the injectors was not squirting, so it was obvious where the problem was.
I seem to remember that there were a few versions of the 1.6 injector- very important to order the correct part.

i could only see one clearly coming out with petrol numbr 2 it was 1 and 3 were wet with petrol and 4 is the one i am not sure on just had it all apart but cant get the injectors out of the manifold any ideas how to

If you take off the fuel manifold from the inlet manifold, with the fuel line and electrical connectors still attached, when you turn the engine over you should get petrol squirting out of each injector in turn- it's definitely not a dribble- the petrol squirts over 10 feet!
If you're not getting this, something is wrong.
The most likely scenario is one of the injectors not squirting fuel- check the electrical connection to that injector, and if it's still not working, replace it.

Typically, after 50,000 miles of use a set of injectors will have a 6% flow rate imbalance, leading to both lost power and fuel efficiency. Furthermore, a 5 micron build-up of dirt is common after only 120,000 miles - causing as much as a 25% reduction in flow rate and a heavily distorted flow pattern.
A 15% reduction in both horsepower and fuel economy is expected after only 60,000 miles of driving under normal operating conditions, which increases to a maximum of about 22% at 150,000 miles.
There is no better way to reduce your fuel expenditure than to fit injectors ultrasonically cleaned and serviced to 'as new' condition. 'Fuel Saving' Magnets, vortex generators and Ecotek valves are 'fool's gold' with impossible scientific claims that no maker has been able to substantiate in court.
