hi

my injector light use to come on in the mornings for a about 2 minutes and then go out. but since we have had all this rain it keeps coming on and the going out and then on and out and on etc.
there is no change in the drive or power! could this be a loose wire or rain water. should i take it to fiat?

thanks for your time

Water in the electrics :) Take it to fiat as they should be able to track the fault quite quickly.

Re: Re: injector light???

my last car a renault 21 turbo had little rubber hats on the injectors like the bravo does and they filled up with water. and i have just looked and the rubber covers on the bravos injectors are cracked could be the problem.
how much does fiat charge ive been told its £40 before they fix the problem

Re: Re: Re: injector light???

If it was the injector wiring you would get rough running :)

£40 is about right.

injectors - ouch

I had a recent problem with my injectors and when they opened it up discovered that 2 were bust and the other two were spraying badly. Oviously that all didnt happen ovenight, probably been going downhill for a year or so. To sort it out cost £700 - 4 new injectors plus labour. i went for fiat spares - possibly you can find non fiat injectors cheaper. Mine was running with the light on intermitently - it was running rough and thirsy though. My advice is get your injectors checked. runs like a dream now.

Re: injectors - ouch

Its not his injectors :)

What engine do you have and how old is it?

Re: Re: injectors - ouch

i have a 1.8hlx 138000 mile full fiat service history runs sweet apart from this injector light never had anything go wrong touch wood.

ive just had this prob and took it to fiat they found the fault in under 10 mins and it turned out to be the temp sensor in the side of the stat housing,it dont change perfofmance but can make it a thirsty little bugger as it relays info to the ecu to inject more fuel.40 bucks is about right too.

hm

Air temperature sensor on side of the stat housing i had same problem, pull it out (one with brown connector,on it) do not use any chemical just blow it with compressor and put it back, it should be ok!
