injection light on??

any ideas the injection light is on on the dash.
it also cuts out at junctions.
slight loss of power.
on my 2000 brava 1.6sx.
only had it a week.
also is there any easy way to check if timing belts been replaced.

Get a diagnostic check done, its the only way to find out what is wrong.
Belts ... hm, only visual but that is a garage job.

A faulty lambda sensor will cause the injection light to come on, and stall at every available moment...

Quick way to check... have the engine running, and follow the lambda cable up to the relevant plug.... unplug it, and see if there's any change in the engine... if not, it's goosed...
