Inherited Broken Punto

Hello All,

Bargeboy here just joined the forum to help me repair a Mk2 Grande Punto I inherited from my daughter with a broken gearbox inlet bearing. I have repaired the gearbox and fitted a new clutch but are now having difficulty getting the clutch to engage. I am going to add a question to the forum to see if anyone has experience/suggestions to help rectify this issue.

Is the clutch pedal fairly hard to push to the floor?

I recently installed a new clutch and flywheel to my vectra and made a rather silly mistake and it involved a hard pedal and couldn't get into gear, turns out I didn't tighten the diaphragm bolts up enough, bloody couldn't believe it, luckily the inspection/service access was big enough for me to get to the bolts and so I didn't have to take the box off,
