Hi all.
I have just bought a used ducato 14 jtd lwb van and would like to know a few things about it if you can help.
1, what size fuel tank does it have and what is the average mpg i can expect?
2, when i turn the wheel to full lock right i hear a clunck sound any thoughts on what this could be?
3, is it cam belt or cam chain if belt how often should it be changed?
it is a 2.8cc engine and regesterd in 2001.
Many thanks
Clive

Fuel tank is 80litres with 8-10 litre reserve included
Fuel consumption is as long as a piece of string. Unladen on motorways at 70 I would suggest mid 20s may be 27-28 if pottering.
The common rail engine is based on the 8140 series from Iveco. If you have problems getting info use the Iveco workshop manual which is excellent.
Timing belts should be checked every 60,000kms and replaced at 120,000kms or 4 years, if very hostile environments such as quarries with airborne dust, sooner.
Good luck

This could be the aluminium pads at the top of the suspension strut. These can break up, particularly if the vehicle has been driven up kerbs.

It can also be diagnosed if after you've had the vehicle on full left lock, it will pull in the LH direction if you let the wheel go whilst going along, and vice-versa.

i hve a 1999 van with 2.8 engine idtd
