hi has anyone used the induction tubing kits from ebay JUST THE ONES WITH ONLY THE TUBES as i was thinking of getting one for £25 it has two 90degree elbows two 45degrees and three straights i was looking at it to put on my 2002 mk2 1.2 16v punto sporting and adding maybe a pipercross or ramair cone i know some people will just say get a GSR lol but i would rather feel the accomplishment of building my own induction kit than just bolting on a ready made kit i was going to have the cone RIGHT to the back of the bumper below the number plate has anyone else done it this far forward and with a tube kit.

thanks

Post a link so we can have a look. Have you looked at the focus induction kit that most people fit ?they fit straight on and add a bit of noise.

i have found that one now im liking the chrome lol but obviously i will need an adapter to fit it to the TB but i dont mind that maybe a bit of yellow silicone

They're ok but i think it would be easier/better to buy your own tubing and pipes and make your own. I am thinking of designing my own as I have an 8v that is fitted with a 16v throttle body so 8v induction kits don't fit. Remember you need to have a place to fix the breather piping on.

If you want all the measurements I'm happy to help :)

I was thinking of putting together some ASH pipes and selling them as a kit but I don't think it would be profitable so I can give you dimensions

That would be great for everyone with the 16v as there isn't an off the shelf induction kit. Maybe you could take a photo of your engine bay and illustrate it with the measurements.

yes please deagz that would be loads of help to me and others as all the induction kits i see im thinking ooooo that looks smart then :bang:ahhhh balls 8v lol

Alright it seems as though a few of you want it ;)

I won't be able to do it until Thursday or Friday as I'm venturing into the 'north' for a few days ::ROFLMAO::

I've done all the measuring and adding.

In terms of value for a full cold air intake go for a GSR.

If you want a short ram intake like the one I've got; I can make them in black, blue or red and ship only to UK for £75 including postage not including air filter. Any other colours would be more expensive.

To add filters it would cost +£55 for K&N Cone = £130 total
or +£11 for standard universal cone filter = £86 total

If you want to make one yourself you'll need some pipe cutting and swaging tools and PM me for what parts to buy.
