Right guys.. ive heard from different people saying different things to where to place the induction kit.

Mine is currently here:

Does it make any difference at all to where its positionend?

If i put it at the back behind the battery does that change anything? Because surely it must get better airflow being at the front by the vents instead of being hidden behind the battery?

ive actually cut my pipe down so it fits just behind the battery as at the front it will suck up alot of hot air for the rad

as i was saying ive cut my pipe down so the filter is just behing the battery and tbh its alot louder and slightly more response and there is no heat there wat so ever

Fits nice and tidy

Thanks

With the Focus kit you are realistically limited to the 2 places as shown. If you have ABS system installed in your car, then you cannnot use BTG's solution, as the ABS pump (??) is fitted to the bulkhead just behind the battery (more or less where his air filter is). You remain with only 1 choice

I've commented so many times on these induction kit threads & at least the best part of 200 quid is not used on this occasion:D. First off, we all know that cold air is what we want, but using alloy/metal tubing will suffer heat soak for starters. On small engined cars even when things are positioned as best as.....a little more responsiveness is the best you could hope for.

Believe it or not, a free flowing air filter in the standard air box would produce better results. However that "sound" from an induction kit is good enough for some;)
