Hi,
I have Marea Weekend 1.8 1999 in Finland. I like Fiat Marea as it never be bad quality but all right. I bought used one early this year and gradually dressing up as it's one of my hobbies(not too much tuning tho). I happened to want 2 things. First I wanted improve cornering but now I probably more want better driving comfort. Could anybody advise me to do something? And another thing I want is to make up special frame for either 6x9 or 8" speakers for real space(I don't have any speakers back there yet..). Could you please adivse me?

Hmmm, easiest way to improve cornering usually is to lower the centre of gravity. This isn't easy on the Marea Weekend as there are less lowering springs available than other models. New springs/shocks/lower arms/anti-roll drop links/anti-roll bushes will improve the car to the best it can be.

I did look at putting Konis on mine, but the price was huge and the standard ones are fine for comfort. In fact the reason I looked at this was the car is a bit of a cream puff and I would have prefered a bit more go where you point it. It is true that Mareas score well in reliabilty surveys. I suppose this is coloured by us also having the MGB which is set up like a skateboard, very pleasing to leave an F355 for dead round a mini roundabout, but needs superglue on the teeth fillings before tackling an English B road
