3 gauge holder, and some gauges, all from raidhp.

the gauge on the left, fits. the metal bar braces round the back, bolts on and presses the gauge against the plate - this holds it in.

the gauge on the right, the metal bar isn't long enough and so it doesnt brace it against anything, and it doesnt fit.

also. why does a gauge need to be that deep? is it purely to get on my tits by not fitting in the A pillar pods?

AFR, EGT, Vac???

I know the air-fuel ratio tells you if you are running rich or lean.(please correct if wrong)
What is a EGT????

And what does a vac gauge read, well i know vac but what for??

AFR will tell me air fuel ratio, might add a digitial readout for that one too.

EGT is exhaust gas temperature, if it starts running hight - then something is wrong, and the engine is about to melt.

vacuum, its useful for diagnosing stuff. and its a cool gauge that moves when i floor it.

vacuum atm, but will be swapped to a boost gauge if it ever works as an n/a car, that i get bored of and turbo.

AFR is fed from an LC1 wideband controller, i don't see much point in NB.

I'd forgotten that you've not turboed it yet!

Me neither. But I wasn't aware of who was making the guages, thought I might have to get one from the States.

yes arc embrace the idea of a turbo. Or at least having it running at a NASP for a few weeks to build your confidence that the engine is running ok, then take of the road again and turbo. :)

the LC1 has configurable outputs, i will set one of them to output between 0 and 5v, the voltage range the gauge expects - but it will be a converted wideband signal.

at the moment the EGT sensor is on my window ledge. but then the exhaust manifold is in the boot, so it doesnt really matter.

yes, two lambda holes and when i get the covnertor the EGT probe is goin in there.
