[:(!]Having recently purchased an 03 reg punto active from the above dealer i have had nothing but trouble from the start, on collecting the car on the 13-sept-03 the drivers mirror did not work, the front towing eye cover was missing and the wiper blades had rubber blobs on them so when it rains they dont clear the windscreen
After 4 weeks of constant ringing the dealer but getting no call back from anybody in sales/service dept i eventually i got the new mirror fitted but upon fitment the interior mirror adjustment trim was damaged by the fiat workshop, as regarding the new windscreen wipers they had none in stock which is very unbelievable from a dealer which has such a large vehicle franchise, i am still waiting for the wiper to this date along with the trim and the front towing eye cover
I just dont to seem to get any reply from them when i ring all i keep getting of them is "we will ring you back within half an hour" i was still waiting six hours later today
They just have no time for customers who have parted with there hard earned cash for a new car and cant get any faults repaired

Its the same with the Lincoln branch.

Best thing is to get a name of 1 person there and stick to it.. erm could threat them ie trading standards? Wake up call :)

Shopping List:

-40mm Lowing Springs
Cadamuro Rear Spoiler
Window Tints
Scrapped 1.2 Punto

Re: Ilkeston co-op nottingham (now Sunwin Fiat)

May have a nice new name but still suffers from the same cra@p staff and service inherited from Ilkeston Co-op. My experience with them over the past 12 months has been a farce. Bought a 2yr old punto off them last year but has given me nothing but trouble. Highlights include:

- Salesman tried to pull a fast one on a GAP insurance policy i didnt want, claiming it was "free" but had just tried to hide the cost in the HP finance.
- Arrived to pick up the car after deal agreed, car had 250 extra miles on the clock and aquired some nice kerb damage to the front bumper, hadnt even bothered to fix a couple of faults i had pointed out (eventually got some compo out of them after a lot of complaints)
- Had the car 12 months now, been sitting on their forecourt for 3 months for warranty repair on an engine fault which to date is still not right ( i reckon they think if they can keep it off the road as long as possible the warranty period will eventually run out, saving them from doing lots of freebie warranty claims)
- Techician managed to crash it during a test drive when in for repair causing £1300 damage (all at their expense) :bang:

These people do not understand the meaning of the word customer, you are just another piece of sh!t on their shoes to them. Be warned - AVOID

Re: Ilkeston co-op nottingham (now Sunwin Fiat)

Just had my 24,000 mile service done which cost £230 which basically was just an oil change, car is also still under warranty so i informed them that the brakes were poor upon inspection they said the had worn due to normal wear and tear and quoted me a further £240 for discs and pads as they were not covered under warranty i have only had the car 2 years i will never take it back there again as they are too expensive

Re: Ilkeston co-op nottingham (now Sunwin Fiat)

Brake discs and pads are wear and tear though.....

Are these the blokes on Hadyn Road? If so I thought they were Renault/Nissan only? If it is them we have always been happy with their service, if not, ignore my point.

Re: Ilkeston co-op nottingham (now Sunwin Fiat)

True but you wouldnt be expecting £240 for a set when you can get them from a factor for £44 inc vat

Re: Ilkeston co-op nottingham (now Sunwin Fiat)

No you wouldn't I totally agree! I have no experience of 'them lot' to speak of. Sounds like they need a good talking to.
