Hi to everyone from North Yorkshire.

I have a confession to make: I don't own a Fiat. I am on here on behalf of a friend who doesn't have computer access (but does have a Fiat Punto). I hope this doesn't break any forum rules.

My question is, I hope, a simple one. I am trying to find the name of an ignition component that has become faulty. My friend can't order one because he doesn't know what it is called. And though I have done bits of amateur mechanics for more years than I care to recall, I don't know the name of it either.

The part is a small connector cap that is one of a pair and plugs onto the coil packs. It has two wires going into it. I don't have the car here right now, but, if memory serves correctly, I think one wire is black with a yellow or white band and the other wire is maybe all black.

Does anyone know the name of this component? Oh, the car is a Fiat Punto, just over ten years old. I can get more specific information if required.

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

From your description I'd guess you need the plugs for the coil trigger/feed wires.
Sadly, it is dark now, and cold, so I'm not about to pop out to the Panda and peer under the bonnet with a torch.
Have a browse through this wonderful site. They are OE for just about everything, but of course won't sell to you. Once identified, you can Google and find a supplier for what you need. There are lots, so keep at it, it is in there somewhere.

Something like this search might be handy:
