its an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ so its definately socket 939.

its only a 2ghz chip with 512kb cache, hardy worth buying a mobo for.

the current rrp for that chip brand new is £25 so its not even worth selling on ebay unless you really need the fiver.

well i have the chip here.
i only have a sempron just now and that copes fine with what i need
however its throwing up USB errors and a reinstall hasnt fixed it. it also doesnt seem compatible with the VIA sata card fro 360 flashing so a different mobo should fix it

cheers for the info,i'll just watch ebay for a cheap mobo and my currect mobo/cpu can go into a case for a 2nd pc

my onboard wouldnt touch it,got the via sata board everyone uses and again just wouldnt work.
tried every method posted with and without connectivity kits and nothing would work.got bored and left it ;)
mobo is giving only usb 1.1 even though its usb 2 and nothing is fixing it

in the past i've seen different mobo pins to use for usb1.1 and usb2, i had that problem when i installed front and rear usb slots on a pc and the front only used usb1.1 but the rear used usb2. i wondered how that was possible for a few days, then i read the mobo manual again and realised it had seperate pins for usb1.1 and usb2 on the front and rear. i dont know why, i cant see any benefit.

nah nothing on mine,1st thought was user error  but no difference.
not even on my pci usb 2 card either which was fine in the old machine.
its no huge issue but is a pain every time windows tells me this device can go faster on usb 2.
click on the bubble to find the usb2 ports and its shows them all as usb 2

is there anything to suggest its not a socket 754 one? also i think you'd get at least about £20 on ebay.
