Hello everyone.
I joined this evening with a request to hope and try to find a cheap(ish) solution to my Idea engine problem. The engine is lumpy and the AA's diagnostics has stated a troubled No. 4 coil. The plug to this cylinder is fouled and remains doing so. In addition to this, the electrics tell me that the engine is over heating but there are NO overheating signs or higher than usual engine compartment temperatures. Both oil and water remain uncontaminated and there is no exhaust smoke.
My local (non-Fiat) garage has a long list of suspicions and is prepared to start ripping the cylinder head off to look at the gasket.
Could anyone please shed some light on my predicament?
